Due to listener request, but mostly, out of their own desire to talk about it, Morgan Glennon and Rebecca Johnson discuss the Lifetime TV movie titled "Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Fight to Save Her Daughter"

And they know what you're thinking...why are they doing an episode on the NXIVM cult? After the Andrea Rojas Character Spotlight, there was feedback wanting more SMALLVILLE-related episodes and they thought that they could justify a movie about Allison Mack's real life insanity starring Supergirl's Maxwell Lord. Allison's Chloe Sullivan was confirmed to exist in the Arrowverse, thanks to "Midvale" as well as the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths television adaptation so even though it's a little bit of a stretch, there is a tie to Supergirl

Official Description: "A mother will stop at nothing to get her daughter back exposes the intricate seductive power of Allison and Keith and the mental and physical abuse inflicted on her daughter."

Jul 31, 2019

Season 5 of The CW drama Supergirl is looking to be its biggest year yet, with a milestone episode with the 100th episode, new foes, new chapters and a massive crossover that takes one of the biggest DC stories to screen. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and executive producers of Supergirl were present to preview the new season that will arrive in October. The Flash Podcast took part in the press room this year to discuss with the actors and executive producer on what to expect in Season 5.

Two of the talents that were present were the showrunners themselves as Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner chatted with the press about things to look forward to in the new season. Things that they talked about included:

*What made them go with Leviathan as the big bad as a technological antagonist.

*How Black Mirror was a big inspiration for the new big bad.

*What they can tease about the 100th episode of the series.

*Whether or not Lena and Kara's friendship can survive this season, will be a central theme in Season 5.

*How both Lena and Eve will fight their inner light and darkness in Season 5.

*What they can tease about Supergirl's role in Crisis on Infinite Earths and how excited they are two have Supermen in the crossover.
